International round-up: Summanen wins Cyprus Cup in 50th Finland game

Finland were winners of the Cyprus Cup on Wednesday following a 4-0 win against Romania.
Taking maximum points from the competitions with wins against Croatia, Hungary, and Romania, Finland won the tournament for the first time in their history, having finished as runners-up in 2020.
Eveliina Summanen marked her 50th international appearance with 82 minutes on the pitch, while Spurs teammate Tinja-Riikka Korpela wore the captain’s armband for the full 90 in goal.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Shelina Zadorsky and Mana Iwabuchi went head-to-head as Canada faced Japan at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
Zadorsky played the full 90 minutes while Iwabuchi came on at half-time as Japan emerged with a 3-0 win in the SheBelieves Cup.
The result saw Japan, Canada and Brazil all finish the group with three points, while United States ended on top with nine.
