Eleven Spurs Women players set for international action

Eleven Spurs Women players are set to represent their countries during the first international break of the year over the next ten days. 

Captain Shelina Zadorsky and midfielder Mana Iwabuchi have travelled to the United States to take part in the annual SheBelieves Cup. 

Both teammates are set to line up against each other when Canada go head-to-head with Japan at the Toyota Stadium on Tuesday, 22 February in Frisco.

The invitational tournament comprises of Canada, Brazil, Japan and the hosts, USA, playing in a round-robin format across three states, Texas, Orlando, and Nashville. 

Wales join Scotland, Iceland and the Phillippines at the four-nation Pinatar Cup tournament in Spain, with the country’s youngest centurion, Angharad James, and on-loan defender Esther Morgan both named in the squad. 

Jamaica travel to Australia for the Cup of Nations this month, with Rebecca Spencer and Drew Spence both called up for the squad. Jamaica will face Spain, Czech Republic and Australia.

Asmita Ale is part of the young Lionesses squad for England Under-23s’ friendly games against Spain and Belgium this month, which are taking place at St. George’s Park and Prenton Park respectively.

Finnish duo Tinja-Riikka Korpela and Eveliina Summanen are both in the squad for Finland’s participation in the Cyprus Cup. They will come up against Croatia, Hungary and Romania in the group stages.

Representing Poland A, Nikola Karczewska s in contention for the double header of matches against Switzerland, which are both taking place in Spain.

Morocco are getting set for international friendlies against Slovakia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with Rosella Ayane in contention for those fixtures.

Bethany England is on standby for Sarina Weigman’s squad for England’s trio of Arnold Clark Cup fixtures.
