Spurs vs Everton | Ange’s preview: “Everton are very good at what they do”

Ange Postecoglou is well aware of the fine form Everton bring to the table at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for our Premier League clash in Saturday (3pm UK).
Sean Dyche’s men are flying. They've won eight out of their last 12 in the Premier League, lost just one of the last eight and won their last four on the trot without conceding a goal. That run includes convincing wins against Newcastle (3-0) and Chelsea (2-0) at Goodison, but Everton have also been impressive on the road, their last away loss a tough one to take in the Merseyside derby at Liverpool, back on 16 October.
It’s going to be tough, they will work hard and they are very good at what they do. We’ll have to be up for it
We’ve won back-to-back matches against Newcastle and Forest, so something has to give when the teams meet in N17.
“It’s a tough game, they’re in good form,” Ange told us after training on Friday. “They’ve been pretty consistent all year, to be honest. If you take away the points deduction, they’d be right amongst it in terms of consistent teams this season.
“You know what you’re going to get. It’s going to be tough, they will work hard and they are very good at what they do. We’ll have to be up for it, but we’ve been pretty consistent ourselves. Obviously, our results have been better in the last two games, but, in general, our performances have been consistent. At home, we know if we play our football, we’ll be hard to beat.”
It’s our last game before Christmas, with a trip to Brighton (7.30pm) to follow on 28 December and then Bournemouth back at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on New Year’s Eve (2pm).
Asked how Christmas looked for him, Ange told us: “I’ve got kids, but they’re all in Australia at the moment. I’m kind of doing the whole ‘Home Alone’ Christmas experience, they’ve left me behind! I’ve two young boys and they love the whole Christmassy thing, it was good to share it over the last couple of years, they’re spending it with family and friends in Oz, which is good as well, that will be a great experience for them.”
