Opposition view | Eddie Howe: "The games against the teams around you always take on more importance"

Eddie Howe has been impressed with how Ange Postecoglou has implemented his philosophy in his first few months in charge here at Spurs.

We put together our best start in the Premier League with eight wins and two draws in our first 10 matches. However, we're on a tough run now with four losses in five after a number of injuries and suspensions hit us hard.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Toon boss Howe was asked about Ange's early impact. "I think Tottenham have certainly changed a lot of their build-up patterns," he said. "Their formation and the way they play is totally different.

"I've enjoyed watching them play, free-scoring early season, with a lot of interesting rotations and movements. He has done very well in a short period of time to implement his philosophy.

"The games against the teams around you always take on more importance. We've usually been able to raise our game for these matches, and that's what we'll have to do again."
