Women’s first team coaching staff update

Following the appointment of Robert Vilahamn as our new Head Coach, we can now confirm Robert’s team of coaching staff for the women’s first team.

As previously announced, Vicky Jepson, who took over as Interim Head Coach last season, has been appointed to the role of Senior Assistant Head Coach.

Anton Blackwood, who has worked as part of our women’s coaching team over a number of seasons, has been appointed to the new role of Women’s First Team Transitional Coach. This position focuses on working with our Under-21s players to transition them into the first team.

Highlighting the importance of youth development to Robert‘s philosophy, both Vicky and Anton will be aiding the development of our young players as they seek to progress to senior level.

Perry Suckling now holds the position of Women’s Goalkeeping Coach. A tremendous servant to the Club for more than 20 years, Perry initially gained experience of working as a Goalkeeping Coach in South Africa before returning to the UK to take up roles with the England youth and women’s teams. He first joined us in October, 2000, and has had spells as both Academy Goalkeeping Coach and Men’s First Team Goalkeeping Coach since then, most recently with the men’s first team since 2021.
