Heung-Min Son will be looking to continue his impressive record against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday (kick-off 12.30pm UK).
Our Club captain has been directly involved in eight goals across his 10 appearances against the Cherries (six goals, two assists), with seven of those coming in his last six starts in the competition. Despite not scoring or assisting in this exact fixture last term, Sonny still created six chances which is his highest output in 133 Premier League away games.
As we prepare for our early kick-off at the Vitality Stadium, we have cherry picked the South Korean’s goal contributions against Bournemouth…
Son's first goal against the Cherries - Spurs 4-0 Bournemouth, 2016/17
After not featuring in both our Bournemouth encounters in his debut 2015/16 season, Heung-Min Son's first outing in this fixture came in our 0-0 draw on the south coast before getting off the mark in our dominant victory at White Hart Lane in April, 2017.
Two goals in three first-half minutes got us off to a flying start as Mousa Dembele put us in front from close range following a corner on 16 minutes before Sonny doubled our advantage when he latched onto Harry Kane's neat flick and slotted low past Artur Boruc to continue his purple patch of five goals in four league games.
Kane added our third with a low finish just after half-time and substitute Vincent Janssen's stoppage time strike capped off a fine afternoon as we made it seven consecutive top-flight wins for the first time since 1967.

Sonny at the double - Bournemouth 1-4 Spurs, 2017/18
As Harry Kane limped off injured on 29 minutes with us trailing 1-0 to Junior Stanislas’ early strike, we needed someone to step up and deliver an inspired performance in front of goal – and that someone was Heung-Min Son.
The team rallied after losing Kane to get back on level terms through Dele six minutes later, Son playing his part in the build-up as he turned and released Serge Aurier down the right who delivered a perfect cross for our former number 20 to apply a first-time finish.
It was one-way traffic in the second period, Dele turning provider for Sonny to volley in to give us the lead just after the hour mark before the South Korea international rounded Asmir Begovic to double his tally in the 87th minute with a late Serge Aurier header completing the 4-1 victory.
Son’s double at the Vitality followed his brace against Huddersfield Town in the previous match, as he went on to bag 12 league goals to help us secure a third-place finish that term.

A Boxing Day brace - Spurs 5-0 Bournemouth, 2018/19
It was another festive period goal-fest at Wembley Stadium as we hit the Cherries for five, continuing where we left off from our 6-2 success at Everton four days prior and exactly one year after our 5-2 win over Southampton.
Kyle Walker-Peters put in a superb display as he provided all three of our first-half goals, initially setting up Christian Eriksen before Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura put us in command at the break.
Harry Kane added our fourth and our number seven tapped home from close range 20 minutes from time to gift wrap the Boxing Day victory, making it four league wins in a row and moving us up into second spot in the table.

Son twice turns provider - Spurs 3-2 Bournemouth, 2019/20
We made it three league wins in a row in as many games under Jose Mourinho with a 3-2 win over Bournemouth at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In keeping with the theme, Dele's brace against the south coast side made it three goals in three games for the midfielder after he had notched against Olympiakos in the Champions League in midweek.
Heung-Min Son played his part in our first, latching onto Toby Alderweireld’s defence-splitting pass and his touch fell into the path of Dele who applied the finish past Cherries goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. Dele’s second came from an Alderweireld assist before Moussa Sissoko added our third - his first for us in over two years - with a volley from Sonny’s inch-perfect left-footed cross.

Son's opener in vain - Spurs 2-3 Bournemouth, 2022/23
The 2022/23 season saw two entertaining 3-2 results between us and a newly-promoted Cherries side, with both sides scoring stoppage-time winners away from home.
After Rodrigo Bentancur’s late strike clinched the away win on the south coast in October, 2022, Heung-Min Son got us off to a strong start in the reverse fixture at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he finished a tidy team move on 14 minutes to take his Premier League tally to 101.
Goals either side of the interval from Bournemouth’s Matias Vina and Dominic Solanke turned the game on its head, only for Arnaut Danjuma to come off the bench and equalise against his former side in the 88th minute. Richarlison then had a chance to win it deep into stoppage time before the Cherries counter-attacked and forward Dango Ouattara netted the winner to leave a sour taste in N17.
