Tottenham HotspurWe can confirm that Yves Bissouma will wear the number eight shirt for us during the 2023/24 season.
The central midfielder, signed last summer from Brighton & Hove Albion, wore number 38 during his first season with us and has elected to switch to number eight – a particularly iconic shirt number in our history – now that it has become available.
The change will come into effect from Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Supporters should note that all other squad numbers – with the exception of the number 13 shirt, which was assigned to Guglielmo Vicario upon his arrival earlier this summer – remain subject to change, with the full finalised list to be confirmed when the Club submits its final squad list to the Premier League prior to the opening weekend of the 2023/24 season.
