We can confirm the starting line-ups for our season opener at Brentford today (kick-off 2pm UK).
In his first match in charge, Ange Postecoglou has handed full debuts to summer signings Guglielmo Vicario in goal, Micky van de Ven in defence and James Maddison in midfield, plus Destiny Udogie at left-back, who joined us last summer before spending the 2022/23 season back on loan at Udinese.
Heung-Min Son will lead the team out after his appointment as our new captain on Saturday – he’s in the front three with Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison.
