Yves Bissouma has been named as your HSBC Player of the Match following his commanding performance in our 2-2 draw with Brentford on Sunday.
Claiming 49 per cent of the vote in an exclusive poll on the our official app straight after the game, the Mali international made a very strong start to the season as he dominated in midfield at the Gtech Community Stadium.
A controlling influence in the centre of the park, Yves enjoyed more touches of the ball than any other player (138), made more passes than any other player (116), enjoying a 92 per cent pass success rate, while he also completed more dribbles than any other player (five).
Our new number eight staved off competition from James Maddison, who picked up 27 per cent of the vote, and Heung-Min Son and Destiny Udogie (both six per cent), to claim the inaugural HSBC Player of the Match award of the season.
