WSL and WC dates confirmed for 2023/24 season

The FA has confirmed when the 2023/24 season will begin and end for the Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship.
Due to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 – taking place in Australia and New Zealand between 20 July and 20 August - the WSL will begin later than usual, the opening weekend taking place across Friday 29 September, Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October. The final round of fixtures are scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 18 May, 2024.
The Championship season begins more than one month earlier, kicking off on the weekend of Saturday 26 August and finishing on the weekend of Saturday 27 April, 2024.
Details have also been confirmed for the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Final date, which will be the weekend of Saturday 30 March.
The Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final will take place on the weekend of Saturday 11 May, 2024.
