Team news | Richarlison ‘getting closer’ but not ready for Brighton

Cristian Stellini had positive news on Richarlison’s recovery from injury on Thursday afternoon.
Although the Brazilian striker is not expected to be available for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Brighton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (3pm), Cristian reported that he could be set to return when we play host to Bournemouth on Saturday week (15 April, also 3pm).
Richy has been sidelined since picking up a muscle injury at Southampton on 18 March. “There is no positive news in terms of the next match,” Cristian told SPURSPLAY after training on Thursday. “But the positive news is that Richarlison is getting closer to coming back.”
Asked about Richarlison in his pre-match press conference, Cristian replied: “Richarlison started to train on the pitch and he’s going well, so the next game (Bournemouth) he could be available.”
