Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of Sunday’s trip to Liverpool.
The goalkeeper and captain was forced off at half-time during Sunday’s defeat at Newcastle United with a muscle problem and subsequently missed out on Thursday evening’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United, with Fraser Forster again deputising between the sticks and Brandon Austin on the bench.
On Friday morning, Ryan Mason confirmed that Hugo won’t recover in time for this weekend’s match at Anfield and said that our other injured players continue to be monitored closely.
“Hugo won’t be available for Sunday and the other injuries we’re assessing day-by-day,” he said.
“The lads haven’t trained yet (since Thursday night’s game), so we’re going to see how the boys are feeling in terms of training this afternoon and also tomorrow leading into the game on Sunday.”
Defenders Clement Lenglet and Ben Davies returned to action against United.
Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Yves Bissouma (ankle), Emerson Royal (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) remain sidelined.
