Ryan Mason has laid out his number one target for a huge first week as Acting Head Coach.
The Academy graduate, associated with the Club as player and coach now for 23 years, has taken the role for the second time with big Premier League clashes against Manchester United and Liverpool on the horizon - United at home on Thursday evening (8.15pm) followed by the trip to Anfield on Sunday (4.30pm).
Regardless of how you lose a game, you want a reaction, but obviously in the manner we did lose, we want it even more
Still smarting from the 6-1 loss at Newcastle, Ryan was asked in his pre-match press conference for his top priority this week, to which he responded: “A reaction, absolutely a reaction. Obviously, Sunday was disappointing for us, and I would hope and expect that there is a reaction from not only the players but everyone in the building and everyone involved in the Club as well.”
Asked further about this in his exclusive interview with SPURSPLAY, Ryan told us: “Naturally, regardless of how you lose a game, you want a reaction, but obviously in the manner we did lose, and the scoreline, we want it even more.
“To get that, we need to be together, we need to understand the situation, to be humble in our approach but absolute in our belief that we can get a result and cause them (United) problems in our stadium, in front of our fans.”
