Harry Kane has moved level with Wayne Rooney in the Premier League's all-time leading goalscoring chart.

The striker's goal to kick-start our comeback from 3-0 down at Anfield on Sunday was his 208th in 316 appearances in the competition since his debut at Newcastle on the opening day of 2012/13. His first goal followed against Sunderland in April, 2014. Rooney reached 208 goals in 491 appearances for Everton and Manchester United.

Alan Shearer is the competition's all-time record goalscorer with 260 for Southampton, Blackburn and Newcastle.

Our all-time record goalscorer's volley at Anfield also took him to 25 goals this season in the Premier League - only the fourth player, alongside Shearer, to achieve that feat four times.
