Sporting CP v Spurs – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information
Mon 12 September 2022, 23:00|Tottenham Hotspur
Following last Wednesday’s 2-0 home win over Marseille, we’re swiftly back in Champions League action with a trip to Sporting Clube de Portugal in Lisbon on Tuesday evening (5.45pm UK).
Here’s all the information you need to know ahead of the match...
How can I watch the game?
Tuesday’s match will be broadcast live in the UK on BT Sport 3, kick-off 5.45pm.
BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT 2 will carry live radio commentary, while you can also follow all the action via our new-look Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app.
We’ll also be providing live updates across our social media platforms, or why not join our official Watchalong on Twitch?
Worldwide broadcast listings are available here if you’re following us from outside the UK.
What is the team news?
Lucas Moura is the only injury absentee for us.
The forward remains out with a tendon issue that has kept him sidelined since the third match of the season against Wolves on 20 August.
Eric Dier could line up against his former club while Sporting could name our former Academy player Marcus Edwards in their starting XI.
Defenders Jeremiah St Juste and Luis Neto are doubtful for the hosts, while Goncalo Inacio will need to be assessed.
What colours will the teams be playing in?
Sporting will play in green-and-white hooped shirts, black shorts and green-and-white hooped socks.
That means we’ll give a men's first team debut to our new third kit, which is primarily light blue with darker blue patterns on the shirts.
Sporting’s goalkeeper will play in yellow, with ours in orange.
Who is the referee?
The official in charge of Tuesday’s match is Srdjan Jovanović of Serbia, with Uroš Stojković and Milan Mihajlović serving as assistant referees.
The fourth official will be Novak Simović, with Paolo Valeri and assistant Massimiliano Irrati on VAR duties.
What will the weather conditions be like?
Although there could be some thundery showers in Lisbon on Tuesday morning, it’s expected to stay dry with sunny intervals for the game, with temperatures at around 21 degrees.
