Wed 28 September 2022, 09:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Ahead of Sunday's opening game of the 2022/23 Continental League Cup campaign against Reading Women, let's take a look back at last season's progression in the tournament.

We began the group stages with a 1-0 win at The Hive against Charlton Athletic, who were managed by former Spurs boss Karen Hills. Jiali Tang scored her first goal for the club to secure the victory.

On 17 November, we recorded an impressive 11-0 win over Watford in Kings Langley. Asmita Ale, Esther Morgan, Chioma Ubogagu, So-hyun Cho and Izzy Lane all scored their first goals for Spurs, the latter on her debut.

Angela Addison and Rosella Ayane both scored hat-tricks to complete the rout and guarantee progression to the knockout stages.

We finished the group with a 3-2 victory away to Coventry United, Morgan, Addison and Rachel Williams all scoring to earn us maximum points.

On 19 January, we beat Liverpool 1-0 at The Hive in the quarter-final, Williams sending us to the semi-finals for the first time ever. Liverpool had been unbeaten in their last 16 games prior to this fixture.

Our 2021/22 Conti Cup campaign unfortunately came to an end with a 3-0 defeat away to Manchester City in the semi-final on 3 February.
