Travel information for fans attending the NFL game on Sunday
Wed 05 October 2022, 16:49|Tottenham Hotspur
Fans attending Sunday’s NFL game between New York Giants and Green Bay Packers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are asked to take note of the following travel information.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is highly accessible by public transport:
- It is served by four stations (Seven Sisters, Tottenham Hale, Northumberland Park and White Hart Lane) providing access to London Overground, London Underground, Greater Anglia services and numerous TfL buses.
- Free high-capacity shuttle bus services to and from the Piccadilly line at Wood Green station and Great Northern Services at Alexandra Palace station connect the stadium with other stations and services.
There is ample cycle parking around the stadium. Walking routes to and from the stadium to stations and coach parks are all clearly signposted. Stewards will also be on hand to answer any questions.
Fans are advised to arrive at the stadium early and stay after the game to enjoy our wide-ranging food and drink offering while queues at stations ease.
Industrial action on Saturday 8 October
Due to industrial action on Saturday 8 October, significantly reduced services on all national rail routes are expected. Services on Sunday 9 October will start later and some cancellations may occur before midday.
Stratford station
Stratford station is expected to be very busy pre-game due to a Premier League match kicking off at 2pm at the London Stadium.
Fans using Greater Anglia services via Stratford are advised to plan their journeys to arrive at Northumberland Park before 12:30pm. Stratford station will be very busy between 12.30-1.30pm.
Reduced escalator service at Seven Sisters station
One of the station’s downward escalators will not be in operation on Sunday. Fans travelling on the Victoria line are strongly advised to use Tottenham Hale rather than Seven Sisters, particularly post-game when the London Overground interchange at Seven Sisters will be significantly reduced.
Travelling from and to central London
The Victoria line will be very busy between 11.30am – 8.30pm with a Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium ending around 6.15pm. Trains will run every two to three minutes in both directions. If possible, fans are advised to travel on the Greater Anglia services from Stratford and Liverpool Street to Northumberland Park station.
Pre-game, six trains per hour will call at Northumberland Park in both directions, with four to/from Stratford and two to/from Liverpool Street.
Fans travelling through Stratford station should interchange to Greater Anglia services to Northumberland Park rather than travelling via Liverpool Street for a quicker journey.
Post-game, eight trains per hour will call at Northumberland Park, four to Stratford and four to Liverpool Street, including two Stansted Express trains to Liverpool Street that will call at Northumberland Park.
Northbound services from Northumberland Park will operate to Hertford East, Bishop’s Stortford and Cambridge every 30 minutes. Fans are advised to check train times to avoid long wait times and allow for queueing time at the station.
The London Overground service to/from White Hart Lane will operate at four trains per hour each way all day long. There will be a large slow-moving queue at White Hart Lane station for southbound travel after the game.
Large queues can be expected at all four stations. Fans are advised to use Tottenham Hale rather than Seven Sisters to access the Victoria line.
