Marseille v Spurs – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Mon 31 October 2022, 23:17|Tottenham Hotspur

It all comes down to our sixth and final group stage match in the UEFA Champions League to determine if we’re to progress to the competition’s knockout stages.

Ahead of our clash with Olympique de Marseille at the Stade Velodrome in France on Tuesday evening (kick-off 9pm local time, 8pm UK), where we need a point to secure safe passage into the next round, here’s all the information you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Tuesday’s match will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2, kick-off 8pm UK, with radio commentary available on talkSPORT.

Worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

Remember, as with every game at home or away and irrespective of any broadcast coverage, you can also follow all the action via our new-look Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, featuring live text updates, audio commentary and statistics throughout the match. Log on from 90 minutes before kick-off to keep up-to-date with everything that’s happening.

What is the team news?

Defender Cristian Romero is again missing for Tuesday night’s match, having also sat out of Saturday’s last-gasp win at Bournemouth.

He joins Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski in the treatment room.

Head Coach Antonio Conte serves a touchline ban for this game following his late red card against Sporting CP at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week.

His assistant Cristian Stellini will take charge from the dugout in his absence, along with First Team Coach Ryan Mason and the rest of the coaching team.

As for Marseille, Pape Gueye is unavailable but Eric Bailly could feature, having shaken off a thigh injury.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Marseille will play in all white on Tuesday evening, with their goalkeeper in an all-black strip.

That means we’ll be in our light blue third kit.

Our keeper will wear yellow.

Who is the referee?

Szymon Marciniak of Poland will take charge of Tuesday night’s game, assisted by Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz.

The fourth official will be Tomasz Musiał, with Tomasz Kwiatkowski and assistant Bartosz Frankowski on VAR duties.

What will the weather conditions be like?

While there could be some thundery showers in Marseille on Tuesday morning, it’s expected to stay dry for the game, with temperatures at around 17 degrees.
