Brighton v Spurs – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Fri 07 October 2022, 22:04|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s our third away game in succession on Saturday evening as we make the trip to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion (kick-off 5.30pm UK).

New Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi crossed paths with Antonio Conte in Italy – Antonio currently holds an unbeaten record against him in four games as a manager, so we’ll be hoping to extend that into a fifth as we look to return to winning ways after a difficult week, on and off the pitch.

Here’s all the information you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Saturday’s match will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, kick-off 5.30pm, with live radio commentary available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

You can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts, stats and much more.

Worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

What is the team news?

Emerson Royal will miss the trip to the Amex as he begins his three-match domestic suspension following his dismissal against Arsenal last weekend.

Lucas Moura remains out injured while Antonio Conte said earlier this week that he was unsure when Dejan Kulusevski would return after picking up a problem on international duty.

Midfielder Moises Caicedo is expected to be fit for Brighton despite missing training earlier in the week.

Enock Mwepu remains absent for the hosts through illness.

Remembering Gian Piero

Following the tragic passing of our fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone this week, tributes will be paid to him at Saturday’s match.

Our squad will warm up in t-shirts that commemorate him, while players on both sides will wear black armbands as a mark of respect. There will also be a minute’s applause ahead of kick-off.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Brighton will play in their usual blue and white striped shirts, with white shorts and white socks.

That means we’ll be giving a competitive debut to our 2022/23 away kit, which features blue and black shirts with volt green detailing, complemented by black shorts and volt green socks.

Brighton’s goalkeeper will play in orange, with ours in yellow.

Who is the referee?

Tony Harrington is set to referee the game on Saturday, assisted by Lee Betts and Marc Perry.

The fourth official will be Graham Scott.

On VAR duties this weekend will be Stuart Attwell, with Wade Smith as his assistant.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It looks set to be a bright, sunny day on the south coast, with temperatures at around 14 degrees.
