The greatest football show on earth kicks-off next weekend as Qatar hosts the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The first match sees the hosts up against Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday week, 20 November (4pm). That begins a run of 48 matches across eight groups until Friday 2 December. The knockout stage begins the next day, 3 December, with the final on Sunday 18 December.

With the tournament looming, we've called on a number of Spurs legends - players and managers - to preview the groups, with an eye on their respective country.

We'll preview a group every day from Group A on Sunday, leading up to Group H ahead of the opening match on 20 November.

First up, former manager Martin Jol, capped three times by Holland, takes a look at Group A, where the Netherlands take on hosts Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal.

We've Ledley King (21 caps) and Paul Robinson (41 caps) on England's Group B - both played at World Cups - alongside the views of Simon Davies (58 caps) representing Wales and Brad Friedel, capped 82 times and a veteran of three World Cups, on the USA.

World Cup winner in 1978, Ossie Ardiles (51 caps) will look at Argentina's Group C and we've the thoughts of Younes Kaboul, capped five times by France, on Les Bleus in Group D.

Euro 96 winner and 1998 World Cup squad member Steffen Freund (21 caps) runs the rule over Germany's Group E and Paul Stalteri, capped 84 times by Canada, tells us what he believes Les Rouges can do in Group F.

In Group G, we've the thoughts of Ramon Vega (23 caps) on Switzerland, Seb Bassong (15 caps) on Cameroon and Sandro (17 caps) on Brazil.

That leaves Group H, and we've the views of current Greece national boss Gus Poyet (26 caps) on Uruguay and Young-Pyo Lee on South Korea - the defender earned 127 caps for South Korea and helped the reach the semi-finals in 2002.
