Spurs v Burnley – how to watch, team news, key information

Sat 14 May 2022, 22:33|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s our last home game of the season on Sunday as Burnley come to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – and it’s all to play for!

With two matches left, we’re just a point behind Arsenal in fourth place and a positive result against the Clarets would pile the pressure on the Gunners ahead of their trip to Newcastle on Monday night.

Burnley are also in need of the points as they look to stave off the threat of relegation.

Here’s all the information you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday’s match kick-offs early – it’s a 12noon start, with the action set to be broadcast live in the UK on BT Sport 1.

Radio commentary will be available on talkSPORT. Worldwide broadcast listings can be found here if you’re following us from outside the UK.

You can also follow all the action via our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app. There you’ll find minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts, stats and much more.

Plus, for all the live build-up and reaction from inside the stadium, tune in to N17 Live, our exclusive pre- and post-match show, which is available to watch for free online, across social media and on the app from 11.15am UK.

Alternatively, join our official Watchalong on Twitch from 11am UK.

How will the teams line up?

Antonio Conte confirmed on Friday that Cristian Romero will remain sidelined for this game, having also sat out of Thursday’s north London derby in the wake of a knock to his hip sustained at Liverpool last weekend.

Also unavailable through injury are Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga.

As for Burnley, defender James Tarkowski will be assessed after suffering a hamstring issue in the Clarets’ match against Aston Villa last week.

Ben Mee, Jay Rodriguez, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Ashley Westwood and Matej Vydra are out.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Kevin Friend will take charge of Sunday’s match, with Simon Beck and Adrian Holmes as his assistants and Simon Hooper in place as the fourth official.

Stuart Attwell and assistant Matthew Wilkes will be in charge of VAR.

We’ll be in our home kit as usual – Lilywhite shirts, navy shorts and navy socks with our goalkeeper in all green – while Burnley will arrive in claret and light blue shirts, light blue shorts and light blue socks, with their keeper in pink.

How can I get the matchday programme?

Be sure to pick up our final home matchday programme of the season at the game, priced at the usual £3.50. It’s available from all Tap Inn counters around the stadium and external pods situated at Paxton House, the South Podium, Park Lane Square and Worcester Avenue.

Supporters not attending the match can order a copy online here, for delivery direct to your door.

Although he’s sidelined for this match, Cristian Romero is the cover star and subject of our main interview as he looks back on an impressive debut season in our colours, while there’s also the latest from Antonio Conte along with Chairman Daniel Levy’s traditional end-of-season message to supporters and much more.

What will the weather be like?

It’s forecast to be cloudy with a gentle breeze in north London on Sunday, with temperatures at around 20 degrees when the game gets underway.
