We are delighted to announce that our men’s first team will travel to Israel in pre-season to compete in the I-Tech Cup against Italian side AS Roma.

The exhibition match will take place on Saturday 30 July at the 30,780-capacity Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa (kick-off TBC) and will conclude our preparations for the 2022/23 season.

The game will form part of the I-Tech Cup, a format created by event organisers MTR7 to showcase local technologies in a country that is a renowned as a hub for high-tech companies.

It will be the fourth time in our history we have met AS Roma, who compete in Serie A and are managed by Jose Mourinho, following pre-season matches against them in 2008, 2017 and 2018.

The match will be broadcast live on SPURSPLAY – the new destination for Club video content, launching this summer – with exclusive live rights in the UK and Ireland. Fans are able to register their interest in subscribing ahead of all the action getting underway. Ticketing information will be announced in due course.

This will be our seventh visit to Israel, with the last coming in the UEFA Cup against Hapoel Tel Aviv in November, 2007.

As is tradition for international visits, our players and Ambassadors will be out and about, meeting fans, supporting good causes and immersing themselves in local culture*.

Alongside this, our Global Football Development coaches plan to support existing projects which bring Palestinian and Israeli children together, using the power of football to unite those from different social, ethnic and religious backgrounds.

They will also deliver our renowned technical programme for local young players and coach education workshops, showcasing the authentic training methods developed within the Club’s Academy, helping young players to reach their full potential.

Fans can follow the trip with exclusive content available across our official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok platforms and our live Match Centre on tottenhamhotspur.com, with the match broadcast live on SPURSPLAY.

Fabio Paratici – Managing Director, Football at Tottenham Hotspur – said: “We are delighted to be heading to Israel as the final part of our pre-season preparations and I would like to thank MTR7 for providing the opportunity for the Club to visit in July.

“We are looking forward to an exciting fixture against a strong opponent in AS Roma. It will provide good preparation for the start of the new season the following weekend, as we look to build on a strong 2021/22 season.”

Our pre-season schedule begins with a tour of Korea, where we will play exhibition matches against Team K League (Wednesday 13 July) and Sevilla (Saturday 16 July) in the Coupang Play Series.

Having returned to the UK, we will then travel north of the border to face Scottish side Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday 23 July.

All of these pre-season fixtures will be broadcast live on SPURSPLAY globally, with the exception of the Korean tour matches for those supporters based in Asia.
