Spurs v West Ham – how to watch, team news, key information

Sun 20 March 2022, 00:16|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s seventh v sixth in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon as West Ham United come to north London once more (kick-off 4.30pm UK).

Having lost to the Hammers at the London Stadium earlier this season, we beat them in the Carabao Cup in N17 back in December, with plenty to play for in this third meeting of the campaign in the race for the European qualifying places.

Here’s all the key information you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday’s match gets underway at 4.30pm UK time and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event.

If you’re supporting us from outside the UK, the worldwide broadcast listings will advise whether the match is being shown in your area.

BBC Radio 5 Live will carry live audio commentary, as will our popular Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, which also features minute-by-minute text updates, goal alerts and stats.

Plus, don’t forget to tune in for free to N17 Live, our exclusive pre- and post-match show emanating from inside the stadium, on the website, app and across our official social media channels from 3.45pm UK.

You can also join our official Watchalong on Twitch – head to twitch.tv/tottenhamhotspur from 3.30pm UK.

How will the teams line up?

We remain without Ryan Sessegnon, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga, the latter having undergone surgery on his knee injury.

West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen is out with a heel problem, while full-back Vladimir Coufal is recovering from a hernia operation.

The Hammers will also assess the fitness of the players involved in Thursday night’s extra-time win over Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Anthony Taylor is the man in the middle on Sunday, assisted by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn with David Coote as the fourth official.

VAR duties will be occupied by Paul Tierney, with Harry Lennard as his assistant.

We’ll be in our home kit – Lilywhite shirts with navy shorts and navy socks – with our goalkeeper in green.

West Ham will wear claret and blue shirts with white shorts and white socks, their keeper lining up in all yellow.

Remembering Tony Marchi and Peter Barnes

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of two members of our Spurs family this week.

Tony Marchi captained the Club in the 1950s and was part of our 1961 Football League and 1963 European Cup Winners’ Cup-winning squads, while Peter Barnes served the Club for 13 years, both as Assistant Secretary and Club Secretary, before performing the same role at this weekend’s opponents, West Ham.

As a mark of respect, the team will wear black armbands on Sunday, with a moment’s applause before kick-off.

How can I get the matchday programme?

Heung-Min Son is the cover star and subject of the main interview in Sunday’s official matchday programme. As always, it’ll be on sale at the game, priced at the usual £3.50, available from all Tap Inn counters around the stadium and external pods situated at Paxton House, the South Podium, Park Lane Square and Worcester Avenue.

Supporters not attending the match can order a copy online here, for delivery direct to your door.

What will the weather be like?

It’s forecast to be dry and bright in north London on Sunday. With sunny intervals and light winds, temperatures should be around 10 degrees.
