March international fixtures for our players

It’s crunch time in World Cup qualifying for a number of our players during this international window, while others face intriguing friendly matches as the countdown to the tournament finals in Qatar later this year continues.

In the European section, we have representation in the Wales, Sweden and Italy squads that will attempt to qualify via the play-offs, while in South America, Davinson Sanchez’s Colombia face a real battle to jump into the one solitary play-off spot in the group phase as they’re currently languishing four points behind – and five points off the last remaining automatic qualifying place, at the moment occupied by Rodrigo Bentancur’s Uruguay – with just two games remaining.

In terms of potential battles between our players, look out for Steven Bergwijn’s Netherlands hosting Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s Denmark on Saturday.

There’s also an historic first call-up to the Sierra Leone senior international squad for Development Squad player Kallum Cesay, who can play at full-back or in central midfield.
