Brighton v Spurs – how to follow, team news, key information

Tue 15 March 2022, 22:49|Tottenham Hotspur

A busy week for us continues on Wednesday evening as we make the trip to the south coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion.

Graham Potter’s men go into the game 13th in the table and on a five-match losing run, while we’re eighth in the wake of Saturday’s defeat to Manchester United.

This fixture represents one of our games in hand on the teams directly above us, making victory particularly important.

Ahead of the match, here’s all you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Wednesday night’s match won’t be televised live in the UK, although radio commentary can be found on talkSPORT.

As always, a great way to follow the action is via our popular live Match Centre here on the website and app, complete with live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats (kick-off 7.30pm UK).

Alternatively, join our official Watchalong on Twitch from 6.30pm UK.

If you’re following us from outside the UK, check out the overseas broadcast listings to see if the match is being shown in your area.

How will the teams line up?

There’s no change to our injury situation following the defeat to United at the weekend.

That means Ryan Sessegnon, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga all miss out.

As for the home side, Adam Lallana looks set to be absent through a hamstring injury – he’s awaiting a scan – while Adam Webster (groin) remains sidelined.

“Everyone else is available, we’ve got good numbers to choose from,” said Seagulls boss Potter.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Robert Jones will take charge of the match, with Darren Cann and Derek Eaton as his assistants.

The fourth official will be Andy Madley, with John Brooks and assistant Marc Perry on VAR duties.

Brighton will play in blue-and-white striped shirts, blue shorts and white socks, with their goalkeeper in fluorescent yellow.

That means we’ll be in our away kit, which features a black base colour with a vibrant colourful pattern on the shirts. Our keeper will be in orange.

What will the weather be like?

It’s forecast to rain in Brighton on Wednesday evening – it’ll be breezy with light showers during the game, with temperatures at around 10 degrees.
