Spurs in Korea - Ledley joins Global coaches to deliver session at Seoul Foreign School

Ledley King was a special guest as our Global Football Development team coached a group of young footballers at Seoul Foreign School on Thursday morning, local time.

Our legendary former skipper and ever-popular Club Ambassador took part in the session in Seodaemum-gu in the city and then presented gifts to the players as our Global coaches continue to teach the Spurs way in Seoul - they’ve now coached over 350 players and coaches of all ages since landing with the squad on Sunday.

This time around, our GFD team - Chris Acaster, Jerome Baker, Nick Hardy, Danny Mitchell and Shannon Moloney - put on a two-hour session for a group of 17 boys and girls aged 7-9 and another 25 aged 9-11 who are all students at the school and participated in the school’s football programme.

As always, introductions were followed by a practical training session, giving the young players an insight into the Club’s coaching philosophy, and ended with a Q&A session, with questions and answers translated by the school’s coaches.

Ledley said: “It was brilliant to be able to attend today’s session in Seoul with the Club’s Global Football Development team and see the incredible work they do. There were some great young players in attendance, and it was a lot of fun to get involved in their session out here in South Korea and talk to the young parents. I hope we were able to give them a positive and memorable experience.”

Chris, Senior Business Development Manager, GFD, added: “It was another fantastic experience working with the young players of Seoul Foreign School. To have Club legend, Ledley King, in attendance is something this group of aspiring players will remember for a very long time. Ledley gave some great advice to the players in the question and answer session which I’m sure will enable them to continue their own player development journey, allowing each individual to reach their potential.”
