Heung-Min Son has underlined the importance of our training time in Korea.

The full squad came together for the first time for our summer tour with the players on international duty until mid-June joining us in time to fly out last weekend.

Pre-season training was well underway by then, of course, and has intensified with two sessions a day here in the heat of Seoul as Antonio Conte prepares the squad for the big kick-off against Southampton in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6 August - a little over three weeks away!

This is why this time is really important... physically, we have to work really hard in the hot weather

Sonny started in style in our opening match of the Coupang Play Series, delighting our Korean fanbase on home soil with two goals as we beat Team K League 6-3 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Wednesday. Harry Kane also weighed in with a brace with the highlight Eric Dier’s 25-yarder to get the ball rolling.

Antonio Conte added: “The most important thing is to try to bring all the players to be fit for the first game, because in three weeks we have to start the Premier League. For now, my first target is to bring all the players to be fit and to be ready to start the league but, I repeat, I'm satisfied with the game (against Team K League). We enjoyed the atmosphere, and we take the positives.”

Next up, it’s Sevilla at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on Saturday (12noon UK, 8pm local) with pre-season matches to follow against Rangers in Glasgow on Saturday week (23 July, 3pm) and AS Roma in the I-Tech Cup Israel on Saturday 30 July (7.15pm) – all available on SPURSPLAY!
