Ellie Brazil has told us how she’s relishing the prospect of playing for Spurs.
The forward, 23, has signed a contract with the Club until 2024, with the option to extend for a further year, and arrives after four years at Brighton & Hove Albion.
An England youth international who came through the ranks at Derby, before spells at Birmingham City, Fiorentina and then Brighton, Ellie was part of the England squad that finished third in the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship in 2016. She was part of the Lionesses’ Under-23 squad as recently as April.
“This is a club that I’ve seen progress massively over the years,” said Ellie. “It’s a huge club and it’s brilliant to be here. It’s extremely exciting and, for a person like myself, it’s quite flattering.
“After a few conversations with Rehanne (Skinner, Head Coach), I knew this was the team I wanted to be at. I’m honoured to be here and hopefully I can show why I should be here. I want to showcase what I can do as a player.”

Rehanne said Ellie ‘will add a further dimension to our forward line’ and Ellie added: “I’m a player who loves the high press. I want to be in a team that creates a lot, and this is a team that does that. It’s a very athletic team with attributes to do the high press. They will give me opportunities, like I will give them.
“I like the ball in behind and the defence here is brilliant at that. From watching them and playing against them last season, they were hard to break down, so to come to a team you know yourself is hard to break down, that’s another great attribute.
“It will be great to get to know the girls. I know what they’re like on the pitch. I’ve heard off the pitch they are lovely girls, so I’m excited to get to meet them. The fans are also brilliant from what I hear and what I know of. I’ve been on the other side, so it will be nice to be one of their players now. It will be lovely to meet them. I can’t wait to be part of this Club.”
