Rodrigo Bentancur will miss Saturday’s Premier League trip to Leeds United, Antonio Conte has confirmed.
The January arrival from Juventus appeared to take a knock during the first half of Wednesday night’s defeat at Burnley and was replaced in central midfield at half-time by Harry Winks.
Speaking after training on Friday, Head Coach Antonio clarified that the Uruguay international has an ankle problem, telling Spurs TV: “Rodrigo has a little injury. For tomorrow he's not available but I don't think it's a serious problem and I hope in a few days he can come back with us and to train again with us.”
Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee) remain sidelined, with Antonio also facing an additional injury assessment ahead of the game at Elland Road.
“About Skipp, he's improving with his problem, it's the same for Japh, then we have another player where we have to make an assessment,” he added.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 12.30pm UK.
