Antonio Conte has been pleased with our start to the Premier League but feels we can ‘continue to improve in many aspects’ as we prepare to face West Ham in another fiercely competitive derby this evening (7.45pm).
Sunday’s 2-0 win at Forest made it 10 points from four games with three wins and a draw so far, our best tally at this stage of a Premier League campaign since 2009/10. By way of contrast, West Ham lost their opening three, but recovered to beat Villa away on Sunday, and will no doubt be fired up for this one at the London Stadium.
Antonio said: "The start was positive because to get 10 points in four games and also play away against Chelsea means you had a really good start, but you know very well we are working to continue to improve in many aspects and in this team, we have space for a big improvement.
“West Ham, we are talking about a really good team, they’ve signed important players in the transfer market and David Moyes is one of the best coaches, with experience in this league. West Ham reached the semi-finals of the Europa League last season, a team with great experience, good ability, good talent.
“So, we will have to pay great attention. This game is always difficult... another derby, the atmosphere, we have to be prepared to face all of these situations.”
