Spurs v Newcastle – how to watch, team news, key information

Sat 02 April 2022, 20:18|Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle United are the visitors to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (4.30pm UK) as we resume our Premier League campaign following the international break.

Eddie Howe’s men arrive in north London 15th in the table, nine points clear of the drop zone and with games in hand on the teams around them.

Here’s all the information you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday’s match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, kick-off 4.30pm.

Live radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live, while you can also follow all the action via our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, which features minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats at your fingertips.

For all the live build-up and reaction from inside the stadium, tune in to N17 Live, our exclusive pre- and post-match show, which is available to watch for free online, across social media and on the app from 3.45pm UK.

There’s also the option of joining our official Watchalong on Twitch – head to twitch.tv/tottenhamhotspur from 3.30pm UK.

If you’re supporting us from outside the UK, be sure to check the worldwide broadcast listings.

How will the teams line up?

Ben Davies is available for us after missing Wales’ friendly against Czech Republic in midweek.

Japhet Tanganga, Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon are all still sidelined, although the latter two are closing in on returning to action.

Newcastle’s fit-again trio of Martin Dúbravka, Fabian Schär and Jonjo Shelvey could all feature, but the match will come too soon for Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson as they bid to recover from their respective injuries.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Martin Atkinson will referee Sunday’s game, assisted by Lee Betts and Simon Long.

The fourth official will be Graham Scott, with Paul Tierney and assistant Sian Massey-Ellis on VAR duties.

Our 2021/22 home kit of Lilywhite shirts, navy shorts and navy socks will be used, with our goalkeeper in green.

Newcastle, meanwhile, will play in black shirts with gold shorts and gold socks. Their keeper will wear orange.

How can I get the matchday programme?

Our matchday programme will once again be on sale at the game, priced at the usual £3.50. It’s available from all Tap Inn counters around the stadium and external pods situated at Paxton House, the South Podium, Park Lane Square and Worcester Avenue.

Supporters not attending the match can order a copy online here, for delivery direct to your door.

In addition to Antonio Conte’s exclusive programme column, Sunday’s issue includes an interview with Sergio Reguilon.

What will the weather be like?

It’s set to be cloudy and breezy in north London on Sunday, with temperatures at around nine degrees.
