With 58 games played in just 253 days, the 2020/21 campaign was one of our busiest on record.
From kicking-off the season back in September, 2020 as we welcomed Everton to N17 on the Premier League's opening weekend to last Sunday's 4-2 victory over Leicester City on matchday 38, it has certainly been a turbulent year.
Our campaign began with such promise as we rose to the summit of the Premier League table in the late Autumn, topped our group to qualify for the Europa League knockout stages and booked our place in the Carabao Cup Final. However, a difficult winter and early spring saw us slip away from the Champions League places, our European journey then came to an end at the round of 16 stage before we suffered defeat in the Carabao Cup Final. We finished strongly with Ryan Mason taking over as Interim Head Coach in late April, seeing us to four wins in his six league games in charge as we secured a European place for the 12th consecutive season. We even had the pleasure of welcoming fans back to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month as 10,000 supporters - our biggest crowd since March, 2020 - were permitted to return, in line with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, for our final home match of the campaign.
Here is an in-depth look at the numbers behind the season...

Appearances
53 - Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was our most-used player of this season as he made 53 appearances for us in all competitions. Heung-Min Son (51) and Lucas Moura (50) were the only other two players to make a half-century of appearances for us this term.
58 – Joe Hart was involved in all 58 of our matchday squads this season. Lucas, meanwhile, missed out on just one of our squads – our 1-1 draw away at Wolves in December.
4,380 - Hugo Lloris played the most minutes for us this season in all competitions, clocking up a further 4,380 minutes in a Spurs shirt across the campaign. Pierre also played over 4,000 minutes for us, racking up 4,323 minutes on the pitch in his first season in north London.
38 - Hugo and Pierre also played in every single minute of our Premier League season - the 11th and 12th Spurs players to manage that feat in the competition.
298 - Our French goalkeeper meanwhile moved up to second this season in our all-time appearance makers in the Premier League. Our man between the sticks has now played 298 games for us in England’s top flight, just one short of Darren Anderton’s record of 299 Spurs appearances in the Premier League.
22 – Once again, as he did in the 2019/20 season, Erik Lamela was our most used substitute as he came off the bench 22 times. Lucas Moura was also substituted onto the field 22 times this term.
26 – Tanguy Ndombele was our most substituted player this season with the Frenchman exiting the pitch on 26 occasions.
