Ryan Mason reports a 'couple of question marks' in terms of team news ahead of our Premier League clash against Villa on Wednesday evening (6pm).
One of those question marks is Gareth Bale. Asked if he would be okay to start again against Villa, having played almost 90 minutes in Sunday’s win against Wolves, Interim Head Coach Ryan answered: “I’m not sure.
"It was probably the best I’ve seen Gareth all season at the weekend, sharp, running at players, he has that confidence back from playing in consecutive games in the Premier League. We’re not sure if he’s going to be ready. He's knows his body. It’s down to the player, he’s experienced enough, so we’ll see.”
Serge Aurier is back in training having missed the win against Wolves with a muscle injury and Ben Davies remains sidelined with a calf issue.
Speaking after training on Tuesday, Ryan added: “Serge trained fully with the team today, so we’ll have some decisions to make. There are a couple of question marks from the game at the weekend as well, so we’ll have to assess them in the morning and see how they’re feeling.”
