Ben Davies has begun light training after his calf injury, but won’t be available for the last game of the season at Leicester City on Sunday.
The Welsh international left-back hasn’t featured since our 2-0 win at Aston Villa on 21 March.
“He’s returning to some light training so that’s positive for him, but he’s not available for selection for the weekend,” explained Interim Head Coach Ryan Mason after training today (Friday).
Ryan also confirmed that fellow defender Japhet Tanganga will miss the trip to the King Power Stadium with an ankle ligament injury sustained in the home defeat to Villa on Wednesday night.
He was carried off on a stretcher and replaced at right-back by Matt Doherty in the closing moments.
“I’m not sure how many weeks it will be (for him to recover) but it was quite a nasty one,” Ryan said.
Kick-off on Sunday is at 4pm UK.
