Stadium to host European club rugby finals weekend in 2023

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will now proudly host European club rugby's blue riband weekend - the Heineken Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup finals - in 2023.
European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) confirmed today (Wednesday 31 March) that this year's tournament finals will no longer be held at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille, as they look to reduce cross-border travel where possible and to minimise COVID-19 transmission.
The EPCR is therefore looking to put in place alternative arrangements for 2021. That means Marseille will now host the 2022 finals on 27 and 28 May, 2022, with the spectacle arriving in Tottenham in 2023 (dates TBC).
This will be the eighth European Cup rugby final to be played in England and the first to be held in London outside of Twickenham Stadium, the home of England's national rugby union team.
