Micky Dulin RIP

Tue 16 March 2021, 16:00|Tottenham Hotspur

We were saddened to hear of the passing of our former winger Micky Dulin earlier today. He was 85.

Born in Stepney, Micky represented England Schools and Hertfordshire at youth level before joining us as an amateur from Welwyn Garden City in 1952. He turned professional in November that year and made his debut in a friendly at Lille Olympique before stepping up for his first senior appearance at Burnley in December, 1955.

He was just beginning to find his feet at First Division level and had scored twice in 11 league and cup outings when he was seriously injured in a game at Birmingham City in September, 1957. Despite a long battle to overcome the problem, sadly it proved to be the end of what had looked an extremely promising Spurs career.

Micky moved into non-league management with Wingate, returning there after spells with Barking and Ilford. He subsequently served Wingate as director of football and vice president.

We extend our condolences to his wife Pauline, daughter Rachel and brothers Alan and Robert at this sad time.
