March international fixtures for our players
Tue 23 March 2021, 16:48|Tottenham Hotspur
The first international break of 2021 is upon us, with many European nations starting out on their qualifying campaigns for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Among the fixtures, there’s the potential for Toby Alderweireld to come up against Gareth Bale and Joe Rodon when Belgium host Wales on Wednesday, although Ben Davies won’t feature after being forced to withdraw from the Wales squad due to injury.
Meanwhile, Academy defender Maksim Paskotsi – a regular for our Under-18s this season – has been added to Estonia’s senior squad for the first time, the 18-year-old called up from their Under-21s as cover for World Cup qualifiers against Czech Republic and Belarus, as well as a friendly against Sweden.
Elsewhere, the European Under-21 Championship finals begin this week with the group stage taking place in Slovenia. Japhet Tanganga is joined by on-loan Ryan Sessegnon and Oliver Skipp in the England Under-21s squad, with the Young Lions aiming to progress to the knockout stages, which will be held in the summer.
Young left-back Dennis Cirkin and midfielder Alfie Devine, meanwhile, will link up with England Under-19s for a training camp this week.
