Oliver Skipp has been named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year for the 2020/21 season.
The XI, voted for annually by the players, recognises the outstanding performers from the second tier and, in his debut campaign in the competition, Oliver’s impressive displays for loan side Norwich City have earned him a place.
Spending the season at Carrow Road to gain first team experience, the 20-year-old excelled in East Anglia as he helped Norwich storm to the Championship title. Playing an integral role in the heart of their midfield, ‘Skippy’ was almost ever present for the Canaries as he started 44 of their 46 league games, featuring as a late substitute in one game and missing another through injury.
A graduate of our Academy with 23 first team appearances in our colours to date, the youngster even scored his first senior goal during his spell with the Canaries as he found the back of the net late on against Birmingham City in February to wrap up a 3-1 win.
