Toby Alderweireld put in a solid shift to help Belgium knock holders Portugal out of Euro 2020 on Sunday night.

The defender completed the full 90 minutes and had a clean sheet to show for his efforts as the Red Devils triumphed 1-0 in a highly-competitive clash in Seville.

Thorgan Hazard scored the only goal of the last 16 tie shortly before half-time, with Belgium seeing out the game amid a feisty second period.

Toby picked up a yellow card during the latter stages, meaning he’d be suspended for the semi-finals if cautioned in Belgium’s last eight clash with Italy on Friday in Munich (8pm UK), should his nation progress beyond that match.

The defender joins Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the quarter-finals of the tournament after Denmark qualified by beating Wales on Saturday.
