MK Dons v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information

Wed 28 July 2021, 11:43|Tottenham Hotspur

We travel to face MK Dons this evening (Wednesday 28 July, kick-off 7.45pm) in our third pre-season friendly of the summer.

It’s our first visit to Stadium MK since we hosted a Carabao Cup third round tie against Watford there during the early stages of the 2018/19 season and comes off the back of last week’s 3-0 victory at Colchester United. We previously drew 1-1 at Leyton Orient in the JE3 Foundation Trophy.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the action getting underway...

How can I watch the game?

The match kicks-off at 7.45pm UK time and is available to watch for free on Spurs TV.

Simply visit the dedicated Spurs TV streaming page and you’ll be able to enjoy live coverage of tonight’s match.

You can also follow the action with live text commentary via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and across our official social media channels.

More than 14,000 tickets have been sold ahead of the game. If you have a ticket to attend the match in person, please read our information for travelling supporters.

How will the teams line up?

Dele Alli could feature against his former club for the first time, having joined us from MK Dons in 2015.

Nuno Espirito Santo is still without many of the players who reached the latter stages of Euro 2020 and the Copa America, while new signing Bryan Gil is away at the Olympics with Spain.

The hosts could welcome back Andrew Fisher and Max Watters after they missed out on Saturday’s friendly at Bristol City.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

There will be a debut of sorts tonight as we’re set to play in our brand new away kit for the first time.

Officially unveiled last week, the shirt features a vibrant, colourful design on a primarily black base, complemented by black shorts and socks.

Our goalkeeper, meanwhile, will be in the orange away keeper’s kit.

MK Dons will be clad in all white, with their goalkeeper in green.

New 2021/22 Away Kit

We'll be in our new Away Kit for the first time tonight!

What will the weather be like?

With the potential for thundery showers during the day, conditions are expected to have dried up in Milton Keynes by the time the match gets underway.

Sunny intervals are forecast, with temperatures at around 18 degrees.
