Thousands of fans were back 'home' as we held the first ever open training session at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Season Ticket Holders, Executive Members, One Hotspur Members and members of our Official Supporters' Clubs jumped at the chance to watch new Head Coach Nuno Espirito Santo's first public session. For many, the event represented the first time they'd been to the stadium since the start of lockdown in March, 2020 - we've only had three matches with limited attendances since then.
It was a fantastic family day in the sunshine in N17 as supporters watched Nuno and his coaching team put the players through their paces, including a first outing at the stadium for goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, recently snapped up from Atalanta.
Part of our UK-based #SpursPreSeason plans, the day opened with fun football activities for young fans to enjoy on Park Lane Square - attended by legendary former skipper, first team assistant and Club Ambassador Ledley King. The session last over 90 minutes and culminated with a lap of appreciation from the squad, applauded from all sides.
Next up, pre-season steps up a level as we enter The Mind Series and matches against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday (7.45pm) and Arsenal back at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday week (8 August, 2pm). That is part of a north London derby double-header as Tottenham Hotspur Women also take on the Gunners (4.45pm).
Want to be there? Tickets to the Arsenal match - inclusive of both the Men’s and Women’s games - are now on general sale to anyone registered on our database before 22 June, 2021. £5 from each ticket sold will be donated to Mind and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation via the same percentage split as the broadcasts. Get your tickets via eTicketing.
