One player who has already faced tonight's opposition Wycombe Wanderers this season is Joe Rodon.

Coming in his penultimate game for former club Swansea City back in September, prior to making the switch to north London the following month, the defender played the full 90 minutes as the Swans ran out 2-0 winners at Adams Park in a Championship meeting.

Goals in the opening 23 minutes from Andre Ayew and Jamal Lowe sealed all three points for the Welsh outfit that day, but Joe admits he and his former team-mates faced a battle throughout the game to keep a clean sheet, with the Chairboys’ direct and physical style posing them a considerable threat.

Yet, that is a challenge the 23-year-old is looking forward to taking on once again this evening, as we head to Buckinghamshire for an FA Cup fourth round clash (7.45pm kick-off).

Coming from the Championship, you come up against a lot of big, direct, physical strikers so it’s always a battle and no game is easy

“Wycombe are a very direct and physical team so I think you have to be very focussed on the job at hand because anything can happen at any given moment," the Welsh international explained.

“As defenders you have to be ready for anything that comes your way and, I guess, coming from the Championship, you come up against a lot of big, direct, physical strikers so it’s always a battle and no game is easy.

"It will require focus and concentration from us and for us to go there knowing what we need to do so we can get into the next round.”
