The news may be positive on Harry Kane, but Jose Mourinho will not have any of our injured players back for the derby against Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening (8pm).
Jose is hoping Harry will return next week after suffering ankle damage against Liverpool. He remains sidelined though, alongside Sergio Reguilon, Dele and Giovani Lo Celso.
Speaking to Spurs TV after training on Wednesday, Jose reported: “Harry is still out, but I’m very positive that next week he should be back. That is not being ultra-optimistic, it’s just the normal evolution. Reguilon is still out, Gio Lo Celso, probably one more month and Dele a few more days, but no-one is coming back for this match.”
Jose later told the media at his pre-Chelsea press conference that Serge Aurier, missing at Brighton on Sunday, would come back into the squad. “Serge is fine, he’s the only player to come back into the group,” he added.
