Ndombele and Hojbjerg in the running for Premier League monthly award

Sensational strikes from both Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are on the shortlist for the Premier League’s Budweiser Goal of the Month award for January.
France midfielder Tanguy produced a moment of sheer brilliance to round off our 3-1 win at Sheffield United on 17 January, latching onto Steven Bergwijn’s floated ball into the box and, facing away from goal, flinging out his boot to send the ball looping over goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and inside the far post, a mesmerising strike.
In our next Premier League match at home to Liverpool 11 days later, Denmark international Pierre went for pure power, as he put his laces through the ball outside the area to send it arrowing into the top corner, halving a 2-0 deficit. Unfortunately, we were unable to capitalise and the Reds went on to secure a 3-1 win.
Both strikes are up for the divisional Goal of the Month prize, along with efforts from Eberechi Eze (for Crystal Palace v Sheffield United), Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka (both for Arsenal at West Brom), Marcos Alonso (for Chelsea v Burnley), Patrick Bamford (for Leeds at Leicester) and Mo Salah (for Liverpool at West Ham).
As usual, fan votes will help to decide the winner – cast your votes via the link below to give your backing to Tanguy and Pierre! Voting closes at 6pm on Monday (8 February).
