We are delighted to announce that Angela Addison has signed a new contract with the Club until June 2022, with the option to extend for a further year.
The 21-year-old forward has made 41 appearances and found the net 11 times in all competitions for us to date, following her arrival from C&K Basildon in the summer of 2018. Her tally includes a brilliant solo goal in our 3-1 victory at home to Brighton & Hove Albion back in December, 2020.
I love being a Spurs player and I am grateful for the trust and belief Rehanne (Skinner, Head Coach) has placed in me.
“I’m so happy to have signed a new deal,” Angela said. “I love being a Spurs player and I am grateful for the trust and belief Rehanne (Skinner, Head Coach) has placed in me.
“When Rehanne arrived, she made some adjustments which have really helped me, especially as an attacking player – she encourages us to go forward and express ourselves. She is a great coach, her sessions are amazing and I feel like I am becoming a better version of myself.”
Speaking about her journey with us up to this point, Angela continued: “Since I joined in 2018, we have come so far as a Club. Our journey from the Championship to the WSL happened so quickly and I am proud of how much we have grown and improved.
“At the same time, I feel like we are entering a new chapter. Making the move to Hotspur Way full-time and training at the world-class facilities has been a fantastic step for us and means we can compete with the best teams in the league.
“I think as a team we are building in the right direction. Every training session, every game, we are getting better and that is what I want to be part of. I know we have so much more to give.”
