Spurs v Brentford – how to watch, team news, key information

Thu 02 December 2021, 11:04|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s the first of six home games in December tonight as we welcome Brentford to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (kick-off 7.30pm UK).

The Bees, who last visited us in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup in January, arrive in north London in 11th, two places and three points behind us having played a game more.

Here’s all the key information you need to know ahead of the action getting underway...

How can I watch the game?

Tonight’s match will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video (kick-off 7.30pm UK).

For all the live build-up and reaction from inside the stadium, you can also tune in to N17 Live, our exclusive pre- and post-match show. It’s available to watch for free online, across social media and on the Spurs Official app from 6.45pm UK, with special guest Gary Mabbutt.

There’s also the option of joining our official Watchalong on Twitch – head to twitch.tv/tottenhamhotspur from 6.30pm UK – or you can follow all the action via our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the app, which features minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats at your fingertips.

If you’re supporting us from outside the UK, be sure to check the worldwide broadcast listings to see if the match is being shown in your area.

How will the teams line up?

Argentine duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso are still sidelined for us – Cristian is unfortunately set to remain out until 2022 with his hamstring injury, although Giovani could return sooner rather than later.

Oliver Skipp is eligible to play once again – as he would have been if Sunday’s match at Burnley had gone ahead – after serving a one-game domestic ban against Leeds United in our most recent Premier League outing.

Brentford arrive without the services of Mathias Jorgensen, Josh Dasilva, Tariqe Fosu, David Raya and Kristoffer Ajer, but Christian Norgaard, Rico Henry and Sergi Canos are available after injury scares in their 1-0 home win over Everton on Sunday.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

This evening’s match will be refereed by Jonathan Moss, along with assistants Marc Perry and Tim Wood.

Graham Scott will be the fourth official, with Peter Bankes and assistant James Mainwaring in charge of VAR.

Our 2021/22 home kit of Lilywhite shirts, navy shorts and navy socks will be in use as usual tonight, with our goalkeeper in green.

Brentford will play in their change strip of all yellow, while their goalkeeper will wear pink.

How can I get the matchday programme?

Our matchday programme will once again be on sale at the game, priced at the usual £3.50. It’s available from all Tap Inn counters around the stadium and external pods situated at Paxton House, the South Podium, Park Lane Square and Worcester Avenue.

Supporters not attending the match can order a copy online here, for delivery direct to your door.

In addition to Antonio Conte’s exclusive programme column, tonight’s issue features a main feature interview with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who played under Brentford boss Thomas Frank in the Danish youth international set-up.

What will the weather be like?

There’ll be clear skies and a fresh breeze in north London today, although temperatures are set to drop to just one degree this evening.
