Morecambe at home in FA Cup third round

We have been drawn at home to League One side Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup.

Ties will take place across the weekend of Friday 7 to Monday 10 January, 2022.

With replays having been removed from the third and fourth rounds of the FA Cup, the tie will be decided on the day, with extra-time and penalties if required.

Currently 20th in League One, Morecambe beat Newport County 1-0 at home in the first round before toppling Northern Premier League side Buxton 1-0 away in the second round on Saturday.

This will be our first competitive match against the Lancashire side, who were promoted into the Football League for the 2007/08 season after winning the 2007 Conference (now Vanarama National League) play-off at Wembley. They were promoted into League One for 2021/22 after finishing fourth in League Two in 2020/21.
