Leicester v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information
Thu 16 December 2021, 10:40|Tottenham Hotspur
We’re back in action on Thursday evening with a tough Premier League trip to Leicester City (kick-off 7.30pm UK).
Both sides have had their problems leading up to the game – we haven’t played since our 3-0 home win over Norwich City on 5 December, with a number of players and staff having tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
Leicester are enduring issues too, although they did manage to take to the field at the weekend and secured a comprehensive 4-0 win over Newcastle United.
Here’s all you need to know ahead of our return to action...

How will the teams line up?
Antonio Conte told the media that 16 players trained on Wednesday morning following last week’s outbreak of COVID-19, three of whom have only returned in the last two days.
Cristian Romero remains out injured and Sergio Reguilon, although training, has a “little problem” after being forced off in the first half against Norwich last time out, with Antonio still to determine whether the left-back will be 100 per cent fit for the game.
Good news sees Giovani Lo Celso back in contention after injury.
Leicester City reportedly face having up to nine players unavailable due to a combination of injury and illness.
Defenders Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu are missing for Thursday, but Daniel Amartey is available after a short absence, although boss Brendan Rodgers has indicated he’s unlikely to start. James Justin and Wesley Fofana are longer-term absentees.
Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?
Thursday’s referee will be Craig Pawson, assisted by Ian Hussin and Richard West.
Jonathan Moss will serve as the fourth official, with Lee Mason and assistant Gary Beswick in charge of VAR.
We’ll be playing in Lilywhite shirts, navy blue shorts and white socks at the King Power Stadium, while Leicester will play in blue shirts, white shorts and blue socks.
Ours and Leicester’s goalkeeper kits will be green and black respectively.
What will the weather be like?
It’s forecast to be cloudy with light winds in Leicester on Thursday evening, with temperatures at around eight degrees.
