Midfielder Harvey White has been shortlisted for November’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award following a string of impressive displays for our Under-23s.
Leading by example as captain of the side, the 20-year-old has enjoyed a terrific spell of late, supplying goals and assists from his central midfield berth to help us remain unbeaten across our three games.
Setting up Dilan Markanday for our equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Brighton on 5 November, he subsequently chipped in with two goals in our 4-1 win at Leicester City on 22 November, including a stunning free-kick that’s in the running for our Club Goal of the Month prize.
Four days later, he provided two assists and lashed in a superb third goal as we dispatched Everton 4-0 at Stevenage.
The former Portsmouth loanee carried over his excellent form into December, putting in an eye-catching display in our 3-0 home win over Manchester City on Saturday.
Harvey is bidding to become the second consecutive Spur to be named Premier League 2 Player of the Month after Dilan Markanday claimed October’s award.
Also shortlisted for the November prize are Folarin Balogun (Arsenal), Ziyad Larkeche (Fulham), Sonny Perkins (West Ham United), Luke Plange (Derby County), Jesurun Rak-Sakyi (Crystal Palace), Jon Rowe (Norwich City) and Thierry Small (Southampton).
The shortlist was determined by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel after club coaches nominated the best performance by an opposition player in each of their matches during last month. The panel will also decide the winner.
