Gary Mabbutt joins us on N17 Live for Brentford clash

Wed 01 December 2021, 18:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Legendary former skipper Gary Mabbutt is our special guest on N17 Live for our Premier League clash against Brentford on Thursday evening.

'Mabbsy' will be part of our pre-match preview show and post-match analysis as we take on the Bees for the first time in the Premier League. He will join presenter Ben Haines, Club commentator Rob Daly and Senior Club Journalist Paul Miles to talk all things Spurs from 6.45pm ahead of the 7.30pm kick-off.

Club Ambassador Gary joined us from Bristol Rovers in the summer of 1982, made his debut in the Charity Shield that August and impressed so much, he'd made his full England debut within two months. He remains our second all-time appearance maker behind Steve Perryman on 611 and won the 1984 UEFA Cup before lifting the FA Cup at Wembley in 1991. He captained the team for 11 years, 1987-1998, and did it all as he balanced being a professional sportsman with the affects of type one diabetes. He also earned 16 caps for England.

Also on the show...

Don't miss a special interview with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - coached in his Danish international youth days by Thomas Frank, current Brentford boss - and we'll also discuss the importance of Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign, promoting equality and inclusivity within sport for LGBTQ+ people and tackling discrimination on every level to help ‘make sport everyone’s game’.
